Net Neutrality supporters planned to protest outside Verizon stores across the country on the week of December 5, 2017. Verizon stores were targeted because Chairman of the FCC, Ajit Pai, was the company's associate general counsel from 2001 to 2003. In some cities, protesters claim that they will march to their lawmakers' offices. Other protesters will call and Tweet at lawmakers, arguing the repeal to be cancelled. There have been more than 600 protests in all 50 of the states. Verizon has yet to send out any official response about the protests in front of their stores.

Most notably, New York's own, Eric Schneiderman, challenged the F.C.C., with the announcement of his up and coming lawsuit. To quote his statement on such, "We will be filing a claim to persevere protections for New Yorkers and all American and will be working aggressively to stop the FCC’s leadership from doing any further damage to the internet and our economy."
